Can my Windscreen be Repaired?

We will always try to repair your existing windscreen before replacing it with a new one, saving you both time and money.

However depending on how large the chip or crack is on your windscreen and where it is located then your windscreen will have to be replaced.

Your windscreen is divided into zones to ensure repairs are carried out safely. Place your mouse over the diagram below to indicate where your chip or crack is to see if your windscreen can be repaired.
 

Zone A
Windscreen Repair
The windscreen can be repaired if a chip or crack in this area is 10mm or less
 
Windscreen Replacement
The windscreen will have to be replaced if:

• the damage is any larger than that permitted in this zone
• there are more than three repairs made on the windscreen
• the repairs are less than 100mm apart

Zone B
The windscreen can be repaired if a chip or crack in this area is 15mm or less
 
Windscreen Replacement
The windscreen will have to be replaced if:

• the damage is any larger than that permitted in this zone
• there are more than three repairs made on the windscreen
• the repairs are less than 100mm apart

Zone C
The windscreen can be repaired if a chip or crack in this area is 25mm or less
 
Windscreen Replacement
The windscreen will have to be replaced if:

• the damage is any larger than that permitted in this zone
• there are more than three repairs made on the windscreen
• the repairs are less than 100mm apart

Zone D
The windscreen can be repaired if a chip or crack in this area is 40mm or less
 
Windscreen Replacement
The windscreen will have to be replaced if:

• the damage is any larger than that permitted in this zone
• the damage is less than 6cm from the edge of the windscreen
• there are more than three repairs made on the windscreen
• the repairs are less than 100mm apart
