Offering a full selection of fit bonded windows and rubber fitted windows to a wide range of leisure vehicles, horseboxes and panel vans, Autoglaze are now in a position of offer even more services to their customers.
Bonded windows are most commonly used when your windows are factory fitted and they not only give a larger field of vision but in some cases, they look much more stylish. Consisting of panes of glass bonded onto a sticky strip on the metal of the van and held together by glue, bonded windows do away with clamps and screws
Gareth Kilburn, from the firm who specialize in autoglass and chipped windscreen repairs, said, “If you own a new style van, it is likely that you would have had bonded windows fitted as standard, which is great, except when they need replacing! We get many customers who have attempted to replace them, but this is extremely difficult to do and usually ends in failure! My best advice is to visit a professional for this kind of service or you could find yourself seriously out of pocket.”
Rubber fitted windows on the other hand are much more traditional, and are used on horseboxes, the old style van and caravan. The cheaper alternative to investing in bonded windows, rubbed fitted windows are fitted by cutting a hole in the side of the van, and inserting a thick strip of rubber onto the metal of the van providing a frame for the glass. The pane of glass can then be slotted into place.
All of the conversion products available from Autoglaze are tailor made and are fitted with a lifetime guarantee, to ensure that the customer is fully confident in the service they receive and left safe in the knowledge that should something need repairing, everything is taken care of
Mr Kilburn added, “Here at Autoglaze, we are extremely pleased to be in a position to offer more and more services to our customers and we hope that this will continue well into 2010.”
